Al Mazeed

Caring for the Whole Person

Who We Are

Al Mazeed is a youth-led NGO rooted in solidarity and compassion. Inspired by the Latin word Magis, which means “more,” we are committed to caring for the whole person in mind, body, and spirit.

What began as a student-led initiative at the University of Saint Joseph has grown into a movement that uplifts lives through psychosocial support, cultural engagement, and ecological action. We work to help people not only survive difficult times but rediscover dignity, purpose, and hope.

Our Aim

Walking with People, Building Hope

We exist to walk alongside the poor, the marginalized, and those pushed to the edges of society. Our goal is to build a more just and compassionate world by offering support, presence, and opportunity. We accompany young people as they shape a future filled with hope. We also care for our environment by supporting ecological projects that protect and honor our shared home.

Our Actions

Support for Retirees

We stand with over 80 retired seniors through financial support, group therapy sessions, and cultural activities that foster connection, dignity, and joy.

Food Assistance

We help reduce the burden on healthcare aides by providing regular food support, ensuring they and their families have one less worry in their daily lives.

Mental Health Support

We offer therapy groups and psychological workshops for youth across Lebanon and Syria, helping them navigate uncertainty, process trauma, and build inner resilience.

Expressive Arts Therapy

Through music and drama, we create safe spaces for young people to express emotion, heal through creativity, and reconnect with their sense of self.

Our Impact

Real change begins with presence, care, and action.
